Newbee Question: KeeVault - is it possible to run it completly offline with no sync to anywhere? thx Neo
One of Kee Vault’s benefits over alternative free options is the ease with which the sync can happen and there is no security disadvantage to the sync feature. Therefore we have not focussed on developing any way to disable that feature.
If you’re concerned about the security of syncing, then bear in mind that all of your data is securely encrypted before being sent away from your device so no-one except you can ever access the information. Since we’re open source, you can trust and verify that this isn’t just marketing lies - Open Source | Kee Vault Ltd goes into more detail about that in case you are interested.
I think if you don’t want to sync your data you won’t need KeeVault.
I use KeePass on my computer and the Kee plugin for Firefox. So I have both data only local and the autotype feature for Firefox.
