Kee breaks GitLab.com

Hi

After some testing I’ve concluded that Kee (Firefox, Win10) is the add-on that causes GitLab to break.

Expected behavior:

  1. Sign in to GitLab dot com
  2. See list of projects
  3. Click project

What happens:

  1. Sign in to GitLab dot com
  2. See list of projects
  3. Project list fades away
  4. List say it’s empty

I’ve tried to mess with the settings for GitLab dot com but since I don’t know what’s causing the error, I’m shooting in the dark, and I’ve not yet found a workaround. What’s more is that disabling Kee is not enough, I also have to clear cookies before GitLab returns to normal. However, enabling Kee breaks GitLab immediately.

I’ve seen similar behavior on other sites, but it’s first on GitLab I made the connection. So there could possibly be more sites affected.

I hope this would be helpful to improve the add-on.

Hi,

I’ve experienced the same problem
To fix it you have to configure your gitlab entry in keepass so that the credentials filling feature will only be triggered on the login page

The solution I’ve used to fix this is adding gitlab.com to website options and adding “name” to the “text field name” black list.
